Hello! My name is Alexia Colton, I am 23 years old. My life is consumed by my love for animals. I am an amateur barrel racer with big dreams and goals, including the NFR one day. I take pride in being a perfectionist and I always aim to be professional in the public eye as well as in my private life. I enjoy achieving my own goals just as much as I enjoy helping others achieve their goals. I currently have a young filly, she is the start of my very own training program, I hope that one day I can train horses from the ground up and get them ready to rock the world with another person whose dreams are as big as mine, wether those dreams include local rodeos, large futurities, or the CFR and NFR! I love seeing other people achieve and reach success just as much as I love doing it myself. To be a small part of their big dreams would be fantastic! As much as we would like to, we can’t do it alone, “it takes a village” as they say. I practice equine therapy on the side and the only reason I do it is because I don’t ever want to see another horse suffer in silence. If I could help every horse in the world before I die it would be a miracle, though that isn’t possible for one person I am doing my part to make a difference in the equine world. I have loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I learned out to ride at just 4 or 5 years old. My addiction to horses and barrel racing has only grown over the years. I strive everyday to shower my horses with confidence, as well as my peers. See me at a barrel race and I will always give a polite smile or hello in the warm up ring, whether I know your name or not. As serious and professional as I can be when competing I still love to have fun and interact with my fellow competitors and spectators.
